PlayerAid makes it easy to know exactly who's coming to each event before you show up. Athletes RSVP directly in the app and coaches see a live attendance summary.
How Athletes RSVP
When a new event is created, athletes receive a push notification. To RSVP:
- Tap the notification or open the Schedule tab
- Tap the event
- Tap Going, Not Going, or Maybe
Athletes can change their RSVP at any time before the event.
Tracking Attendance as a Coach
From the event detail page (coach view), you'll see a real-time attendance breakdown:
- Going — players who have confirmed attendance
- Not Going — players who have declined
- Maybe — players who are uncertain
- No Response — players who haven't responded yet
Tap any category to see the full list of names. From there, you can tap a player's name to view their contact info and reach out directly if needed.
Sending Attendance Reminders
If players haven't responded close to the event date:
- Open the event and tap Send Reminder
- PlayerAid sends a push notification to all players who haven't responded
Reminders can be sent as many times as needed.
Marking Post-Event Attendance
After an event concludes, you can record actual attendance (who showed up, not just who said they would):
- Open the past event
- Tap Mark Attendance
- Check off each player who attended
- Tap Save
This builds a historical attendance record that's viewable on each player's profile — useful for tracking commitment and eligibility requirements for playing time.
Calendar Sync for Athletes
Athletes can sync team events to their phone's native calendar so they never miss a practice. See Scheduling Practices and Games for setup instructions.
Common Questions
Can coaches RSVP on behalf of players? Yes. From the attendance view, coaches can manually set any player's status.
Are RSVP responses private? No. RSVP responses are visible to all team members — athletes can see who else is attending. Only coaches can see contact details.
Can I see historical attendance records? Yes. Historical attendance is stored per event and viewable from the player's profile. Future updates will add aggregate attendance reporting.
