Adding Sports and Performance Stats

How to add your sports, positions, and sport-specific performance metrics to your profile.

Performance stats are the most impactful part of your PlayerAid profile. Coaches and recruiters use them to filter and evaluate athletes before ever watching tape. Here's how to fill them in correctly.

Adding a Sport

  1. From the Profile tab, tap Edit Profile
  2. Scroll to the Sports section and tap Add Sport
  3. Select your sport from the list
  4. Fill in the fields that appear

You can add multiple sports. Each sport has its own set of position and stat fields.

PlayerAid automatically unlocks the right stat fields for each sport you add. Here's what to expect:

Football

Other Sports

Entering Your Numbers

A few principles to follow:

Be accurate. Coaches verify numbers. If your 40 time is 4.8 and you put 4.5, it creates a bad impression when you show up.

Use the right units. The app shows the expected unit for each field (seconds, inches, mph, etc.).

Leave blank rather than estimate. If you haven't been tested for a particular metric, leave the field empty. A blank field is neutral; a wrong number is harmful.

Keep stats current. Update your numbers after combines, showcases, or formal testing. Your stats should reflect your current ability, not where you were two years ago.

Skill Level

For each sport, you'll set a skill level:

  • Recreational — playing for fun; not competing at a structured level
  • Competitive — playing in organized leagues, club sports, or high school programs
  • Elite — competing at the highest levels (top club programs, elite high school programs, collegiate or professional)

Choose the level that best reflects your current competitive environment, not your aspirations.

Years of Experience

Enter how many years you've been actively playing this sport at a competitive level. Start from when you began playing organized sports in this discipline.

Updating Your Stats

Stats don't update automatically — you need to enter them manually when you have new numbers.

After a combine, showcase, or test:

  1. Go to Profile → Edit Profile → Sports
  2. Tap the sport with new stats
  3. Update the relevant fields
  4. Save

Tip: Use the AI assistant to help you think through which stats to prioritize adding first based on your sport and goals.
