PlayerAid makes it easy to see exactly what you've earned, what's pending, and when you'll be paid — all within the app.
Viewing Your Earnings
- Go to Marketplace → Earnings
- You'll see:
- Total Earned — lifetime gross earnings from all completed bookings
- Pending — payments received but not yet paid out by Stripe
- Available — funds available for your next payout
- Recent Transactions — a list of individual booking payments with dates and amounts
How Payouts Work
When a client completes a booking payment:
- The funds arrive in your Stripe connected account
- After Stripe's initial holding period (typically 2–7 days for new accounts), funds move to your available balance
- Stripe initiates a payout to your linked bank account on your payout schedule (default: every 2 days)
- The deposit appears in your bank account 1–2 business days after Stripe initiates it
Total typical wait: 4–10 days for your first payout. Subsequent payouts move faster once your account is established.
Understanding the Fee Breakdown
For each booking, here's how revenue flows:
- Client pays: Full session price
- Stripe fee: ~2.9% + $0.30 (deducted automatically)
- PlayerAid platform fee: Displayed on your listing (deducted automatically)
- Your earnings: The remainder, deposited to your bank
You can see the exact fee breakdown for any transaction in your Stripe Dashboard.
Accessing Your Full Stripe Dashboard
For detailed financial reporting, tax documents, and bank account management:
- Go to Settings → Payments → Open Stripe Dashboard
- Stripe Dashboard opens in your browser
In Stripe Dashboard, you can:
- View a complete transaction history with all fees itemized
- See upcoming payout dates and amounts
- Update your bank account
- Download your 1099-K at tax time (if your earnings meet the IRS reporting threshold)
- Set a custom payout schedule
Tax Considerations
Marketplace earnings are taxable income. PlayerAid does not provide tax advice. Key things to know:
- Stripe issues a 1099-K if your earnings exceed IRS thresholds (currently $600/year)
- Keep records of any business-related expenses (equipment, travel, etc.) that may be deductible
- Consult a tax professional if you have questions about how marketplace income affects your tax situation
Common Questions
Why hasn't my payout arrived? Check your Stripe Dashboard for payout status. Common reasons for delays: bank account verification is pending, your Stripe account has a hold, or the payout is scheduled for a future date. Contact Stripe support if you believe there's an error.
Can I withdraw immediately? Stripe's standard payout schedule is automatic. You can request instant payouts (for an additional fee) in some cases from the Stripe Dashboard. PlayerAid cannot override Stripe's payout timelines.
What if a client disputes a charge? Stripe handles payment disputes (chargebacks). You'll receive an email from Stripe with details and a deadline to respond with evidence. Respond promptly — unanswered disputes result in automatic refunds. Contact support@playeraid.org if you need help gathering evidence.
