The PlayerAid Marketplace connects athletes with coaches, trainers, and sports professionals for one-on-one and group training sessions. Here's how to find and book the right provider for your needs.
Browsing the Marketplace
- Tap the Marketplace tab in the bottom navigation
- Browse featured listings or use filters:
- Sport — filter by your primary sport
- Service Type — private training, group sessions, film review, speed & agility, etc.
- Location — near me, or by city
- Tap any listing to view full details
Evaluating a Provider
On a provider's listing page you'll find:
- Provider profile — their background, credentials, and experience
- Service description — what's included in each session
- Pricing — per-session or package pricing
- Availability — open time slots for booking
- Reviews — ratings and written reviews from past clients
Tip: Check a provider's full profile before booking. Look at their coaching background, what sport levels they specialize in, and whether their communication style matches what you're looking for. You can also message them before booking with questions.
Booking a Session
- From the listing page, tap Book Now
- Select an available time slot from the calendar
- Review the booking summary — session details, price, and cancellation policy
- Tap Confirm and Pay
- Complete the Stripe payment flow with your card details
- You'll receive a booking confirmation in the app and via email
After Booking
Once your booking is confirmed:
- The session appears in your Bookings tab
- The provider receives a notification and may send you a confirmation message
- You can message the provider directly from the booking detail page
Canceling a Booking
If you need to cancel:
- Go to Marketplace → My Bookings
- Tap the booking you want to cancel
- Tap Cancel Booking
- Review the provider's cancellation policy for refund eligibility
Cancellation and refund policies vary by provider and are displayed on every listing before you book.
Common Questions
Is the provider vetted by PlayerAid? PlayerAid does not verify credentials, certifications, or background information. Providers are responsible for the accuracy of their listings. Evaluate providers using their profile, reviews, and any direct conversation before booking. See our Terms of Service for full marketplace disclaimers.
What payment methods are accepted? Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. All payments are processed by Stripe.
What if I'm unhappy with a session? Contact the provider directly first. If the issue isn't resolved, contact support@playeraid.org. PlayerAid can mediate disputes at its discretion but is not obligated to provide refunds for completed services.
Can I leave a review? Yes. After a session, you'll be prompted to leave a rating and review. Reviews help other athletes make informed decisions.
