When your coach adds a team expense, you'll receive a notification and can pay directly within the app. Payments are processed securely by Stripe — PlayerAid never stores your card details.
You'll Be Notified Automatically
When a coach creates a new expense, PlayerAid sends a push notification to all affected players. You can also view any pending expenses from the Expenses tab on your team's page.
Paying an Expense
- Open the app and go to the relevant team
- Tap Expenses
- Tap the expense you want to pay
- Review the details (amount, description, due date)
- Tap Pay Now
- The Stripe payment sheet opens — enter your card details
- Tap Pay to confirm
You'll see a Paid confirmation screen immediately. A receipt is sent to your email address.
Payment Security
Your card information is entered directly in Stripe's secure payment interface — it never passes through PlayerAid's servers. Stripe is PCI DSS Level 1 certified, the highest security standard in the payment industry.
Supported payment methods:
- Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover
- Apple Pay and Google Pay (where available)
After Payment
Once payment is confirmed:
- The expense status updates to Paid on both your screen and your coach's view
- A receipt is sent to your account email
- The payment appears in your expense history on the team page
Viewing Your Payment History
To see all expenses across all teams:
- Go to Profile → Payment History
- You'll see a complete record of all team expense payments, including dates and amounts
Common Questions
Is my card information saved? If you choose to save your card in Stripe for faster future payments, Stripe stores it securely in accordance with their security standards. PlayerAid does not have access to your full card number.
What if I was charged the wrong amount? Contact your coach first — they can manually correct the record. If you believe there was a payment processing error, contact support@playeraid.org with your payment confirmation details.
Can I get a refund? Refund policy is set by your coach. Contact them directly. If there was a genuine payment processing error, contact support@playeraid.org.
What if I can't afford to pay right now? Contact your coach directly. PlayerAid records the unpaid status but does not restrict your account for non-payment. Payment plan arrangements should be made with your coaching staff.
