The PlayerAid AI assistant can proactively suggest updates to your profile based on your conversations, your goals, and what's missing from your current data. Here's how the process works and how to stay in control of what gets changed.
How Suggestions Are Generated
When you discuss your athletic career, recruiting goals, or recent performance with the assistant, it may identify gaps or improvements in your profile — a missing stat, a vague bio, an outdated position. It will then propose specific changes.
For example:
- You mention you ran a 4.6 forty at a combine last weekend → the assistant suggests updating your 40-yard dash time
- You say you're now playing center field instead of right field → the assistant suggests updating your position
- You describe a recent achievement → the assistant offers to add it to your achievements list
The Suggestion Flow
The assistant presents the suggestion in the chat — clearly labeling what it wants to change and what the new value would be
You review it — the suggestion shows you the field being changed and both the old and new values
You confirm or reject it:
- Tap Apply to save the change to your profile
- Tap Dismiss to skip it without any change
- Just keep chatting — unanswered suggestions are never auto-applied
The change is saved — if you tap Apply, your profile is updated immediately. You'll see a confirmation in the chat.
Your Profile Is Never Changed Without Your Approval
This is important: the assistant cannot modify your profile without you explicitly tapping Apply. Suggestions are just proposals. If you close the app mid-conversation without acting on a suggestion, nothing changes.
Reviewing Recent AI Changes
To see a history of changes the assistant has applied to your profile:
- Go to Profile → Edit Profile
- Tap the History icon (clock) in the top corner
- You'll see a log of recent profile edits, including those made by the AI assistant and those you made manually
You can revert any change from this history view.
Important Limitations
Verify before accepting. The assistant generates suggestions based on your conversation — it does not independently verify your claims. If you tell it you ran a 4.4 forty, it will suggest adding 4.4. Coaches verify stats in person, so only enter what's real.
The assistant can be wrong. Suggested phrasings for bios, descriptions of positions, or recommendations about what stats matter may contain errors. Read suggestions critically.
Stats need to be accurate. Inaccurate stats on a recruiting profile can damage your credibility. Double-check any numbers before accepting them.
Common Questions
Can the assistant delete information from my profile? Suggestions are currently limited to adding or updating fields. Deleting profile information must be done manually through Edit Profile.
What if I accepted a suggestion by mistake? Use the history log (Profile → Edit Profile → History) to find the change and revert it.
Can the assistant suggest changes to my teammates' profiles? No. The assistant can only suggest changes to your own profile (or a Managed Player profile you manage, if you're accessing it through your coach account).
